Your Wealth is Hidden in the Fragments of Your Life - The Survival Loop

The Survival Loop

Survivors ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( "Help" (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( Providers

Survivors )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) Wealth Transfer ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) Providers

We see here what goes on at the national level. "Help" flows from Provider to Survivor. Wealth flows over the years and decades from Survivor to Provider. Millions of Survivors have not realized that they could become their own insurance company for the lower end of their loss. They could take actual coverage for the higher end of their loss, but cover the lower end themselves and save the difference. The "loop" above is a survival loop for the Survivor, but is a wealth induction loop for the Provider. As it loops over the years and over the decades, wealth is transferred from the Survivor to the Provider. The loop induces wealth for the Provider. The Providers are insurance companies, finance companies, credit card banks, and all the other wonderful institutions and individuals who "help" the Survivor "survive" on his trip to nowhere.

And to think, we have not yet even looked at the impact of credit cards and other debt loads. If paying $34 a month for a lower deductible on car insurance causes a loss of over $1,250,000 over a lifetime, then paying $100 a month on credit card payments produces a loss of over $3,750,000 over a lifetime! Remember, to the one with the eagle perspective, the cost is not just $100 a month, but what that $100 a month would grow to if invested for 45 years from age 25 to age 70 in an aggressive manner.

If you do not believe the impact of the survival crutches is really this great, I invite you to simply drive near or through any major downtown area in North America and turn your head to look at the buildings. Most of the tallest, newest, and most impressive buildings you see are owned by the very "providers" who supply the survival crutches which you "rent." They do not call you during your supper to offer you a credit card or another of these survival crutches because they like you. They do it, as Machiavellian as this may sound, to transfer your wealth, whether bit by bit or boatload by boatload, from you to them.

If you are a typical American or a typical citizen of an industrialized nation with a vigorous western-style economy, your life right now is already a wealth induction loop. You either induce wealth for the "providers" or you induce wealth for you and your family. If you are just gliding along and running your life as a "survival loop", you are operating a wealth induction loop for the benefit of the "providers" to whom you are enslaved.

I estimate that the wealth transferred from a working class family is from $10 million to $20 million over a lifetime.

For a middle class family, I believe it is from $20 million to $30 million over a lifetime.

For an upper middle class family, I estimate that it ranges from $30 million to $40 million in a lifetime.

"Survivors" live their whole lives as unrealized millionaires because they do not realize that their wealth is hidden in the fragments of their lives.

Top Five Tips For Survival Gardening

Listening to the radio, watching television and reading the newspaper is enough to make anyone panic about virtually everything! There is one thing that should be a grave concern to everyone: the rapidly spreading global food crisis. Felt most acutely within developing nations, this food shortage problem is spreading like the flu across the globe. There is something you can do, other than panic. You can plant a garden!

During World War II, every family was encouraged to plant a victory garden to provide fresh fruits and vegetables at home so that fuel and other commercially grown food resources could be directed elsewhere. It is time to re-visit that tradition. Below are five tips for planting your own survival garden. Whether the food shortage reaches crises level, or not, growing your own produce is a fun pastime that produces nutritious and money-saving food. You can then save the money you did not have to spend on fresh produce to use in case of a true recession.

1. When growing your own food, cover the basics. There is a reason that the Aztecs grew beans and corn. Together, those two plants provide all of the essential amino acids not produced by the human body that are necessary for healthy growth and protein production. When planning your garden, choose a variety of plants that provide different nutrients. Think about the rainbow-and try to grow a plant in every color. That is a simple way to ensure that you grow plants that provide a variety of vitamins and minerals.

2. Start slowly. As with an exercise plan, if you take on too much in the beginning, you will get discouraged and quit. A garden that is no bigger than 4 feet X 12 feet will allow you to start strong and produce a lot of food, but will not be too large to handle

3. Use natural fertilizers for the best results. When growing your own produce, you will want to harvest the most nutritious food possible. Natural and seaweed based fertilizers contain a variety of micronutrients not found in synthetically produced fertilizers.

4. Learn how to can, dry and preserve your extra food. Not only will you have the luxury of eating your own tasty tomatoes in the middle of winter, should disaster strike, you will be well-prepared.

5. Invest in your soil. The number one most important aspect of growing your own food is having healthy soil. Using natural fertilizers helps maintain soil fertility because the natural fertilizer components will not harm soil organisms. Regularly adding thoroughly composted organic matter will help your soil maintain its fertility. Managing your own compost bin will also help you save money because you will have a way to re-use, rather than toss, food scraps.

Hormone Therapy Plus Radiation Therapy Produce Better Survival Outcomes

Recently, there has been numerous study reports published that address the benefits of Hormone therapy combined with Radiation therapy in treating prostate cancer. This article wishes to provide readers some helpful updates with regards to the new standard treatment for prostate cancer.

In 1995 to 2005, a randomized study was jointly conducted by the National Cancer Institute of Canada, the United Kingdom Medical Research Council and the Southwest Oncology Group in the United States. 1,205 men with high risk prostate cancer in the United States, Canada and in United Kingdom were part of the study. These men were assigned with either receiving hormone therapy alone or a combined hormone therapy (with external beam radiation treatment). Follow ups were made among patients for an average of at least 6 years and findings from this study presents that adding radiation therapy significantly reduced the risk of death among the study group given with the combined therapy.

In another study report published by Bolla et al from an EORTC study in 1997 showed an increase in the probability of a progression-free and overall survival of European patients diagnosed with a locally advance prostate cancer high risk (T1-2 and T3-4NO-1MO) tumors. Patients who were given external beam radiation therapy plus an adjuvant hormonal therapy for three years showed an increase in survival rates compared to the patients who received external beam radiation therapy alone. Additional data from the American studies show similar results. According to this study, two to three years of hormone therapy combined with radiotherapy improves survival among patients but is accompanied by a number of adverse effects such as impotence, hot flashes and risk of acquiring heart attacks.

Horwitz et al reported a US study (RTOG 92-02) in 2008 that radiotherapy plus extended adjuvant hormone therapy for 28 months increased the probability of the disease-free survival and disease-specific survival rates among its study group. The group who received a combined therapy obtained a lower probability of a local progression of the prostate tumor and biochemical failure rates were also lowered. The combined therapy prevented further metastasis (spread) among its study group compared to the radiation therapy group. Overall the survival rates in this study showed an increase rates among patients with a pre-treatment Gleason score of 8-10 with no metastasis to the lymph node or the pelvis with a PSA level of 150 ng/ml and below.

Prostate cancer is believed to be caused by an exposure to the male hormones testosterone. An increase in the testosterone levels in the body stimulates prostate cancer cells to grow. Hormone therapy is given to patients diagnosed with prostate cancer as a means to decease the testosterone levels in the body, it is also referred as the Androgen Deprivation Therapy (in which production of male hormones are prevented). Radiation therapy is given to directly kill and destroy the cancer cells by using external beam radiation.

Numerous studies conclude that combination of hormone therapy plus radiation therapy promotes good survival rates. Hormone therapy helps by reducing tumor growth. It also potentiates killing of the cancer cells when combined with radiotherapy.
