Will Barack Obama Tread the Torturous Path to a Sustainable New World Order?

According to a report published by the World Wildlife Fund and the Global Footprint Network: "Humans are stripping nature at an unprecedented rate and will need two planets' worth of natural resources every year by 2050 if current trends continue."

WWF Director-General James Leape said: "For more than 20 years we have exceeded the Earth's ability to support a consumptive lifestyle that is unsustainable and we cannot afford to continue down this path." He continued: "If everyone around the world lived as those in America, we would need five planets to support us."

In part of Barack Obama's acceptance speech he said: "And for the sake of our economy, our security, and the future of our planet, I will set a clear goal as president: in 10 years, we will finally end our dependence on oil from the Middle East." It will be interesting to observe just how much Mr Obama offers in greenhouse gas goals and aid to assist developing countries to help achieve this.

But it needs to go far further and deeper than independence from oil. Economic perceptions about how we organise our lives have taken generations to formulate, with consumerism and growth the very heart of our beloved capitalism system; it is on everyone lips in almost every word they utter when referring to a country or region's success. If this is to change, and it must, it is a colossal challenge to meet. This massive environmental clean-up cannot be taken on by Mr Obama's new administration alone but it can drive the new agenda forward; an agenda that is sustainable, renewable and intelligent.

The old order had this to say about its willful neglect, not only of the economy but, more importantly, the environment: On 12 May 2008 in Washington, DC George W. Bush announced: "I'll be long gone before some smart person ever figures out what happened inside this Oval Office." Or didn't happen, more to the point.

America has for years refused to co-operate with urgent calls to tackle global warming. With the new president this cannot be allowed to continue. But if we're going to blame the Republican Party for deregulating the economy and neglecting environmental issues, we should also point the finger of blame across the entire spectrum of world leaders and bankers.

In a recent cover story in The Economist they wrote: "Global finance is being torn apart; it can be put back to together again." Really? But surely, if global capitalism's flaws have just driven the world into this financial cul-de-sac, then why reconstitute the model, albeit with more responsible, transparent protection?

Their argument seems to be that with the world's largest investment banks and insurance companies, most now in the hands of receivers, merged or bailed out, and with recessions and redundancies about to change the face of the world forever, they accuse systemic institutional failures to regulate sub-prime mortgages as the cause of the meltdown. They then went on to suggest that, don't worry, Humpty Dumpty will be put together again any time soonish.

The Economist contends that even though America's (and for that matter everyone else's) fragmented system of oversight, lack of transparency and accounting methods, which factors in values risk, has caused the greatest recession since World War II, the system is sound enough to withstand a new Depression.

Maybe it can, but what controls have been put in place and what government dare tussle with the remaining super-banks? The onus of risk now seems to have shifted to the unsuspecting taxpayer. In Britain, trust has been completely scuppered by a bailout by the people on behalf of the banking system which has kindly responded by a declaration that interest rate cuts will not be passed down to the people. So much for fair play in the world of bonuses-first banking.

The question is should the world slither back up the greasy pole of capitalism as it was, the system that righteously declared itself the victor over communism at the close of the cold war, or do we look for a deeper understanding, realise its faults and then add other ingredients into the mix? The time is ripe for environmentalism to be added into a new economic paradigm, one that goes hand-in-hand with global responsibility and our very survival.

Existing accounting models across the globe are very fickle about what they call 'procyclicality', meaning transparent and immediate write-downs of toxic assets on a company's books. But what if the accounting methods in the new paradigm were to factor in environmental cost and waste, and penned into the ledgers of these vast corporations? That is only fair, for if not it would be like having HIV and not informing your partner. Morally, that's an abomination; having toxic assets, and worse, toxic products hidden from your investors apparently isn't. It should be. And so shouldn't a company's green mission statement also be available, transparent and immediate? And shouldn't harmful environmental fallout resulting from the means of production be available too, and penalised?

It is said that the years ahead will be much harsher than they were before, both in the realms of finance, the environment and our way of life. Now the former has failed us the system needs to be re-modelled with environmental sustainability built into it. Today there is limited finance available, trillions of dollars of it, and for some foreseeable time to come - the brain of the capitalist system. Surely it is the right time to embrace the fundamentals of our existence and not just how many new gadgets we dutifully buy because of the constant bombardment of advertising. The economic argument cannot afford to leave the environment behind as they are both intrinsically linked.

According to an annotated interview on the BBC website: "I think the credit crunch shows an end of an era. The lack of recognition of the end of American economic dominance contributed to the severity of the credit crunch. Resolving it will require no less than a new world order. The risk at the heart of the US sub-prime mortgage crisis was the result of low interest rates and excess liquidity. To resolve the resultant credit crunch in the globalised financial market, the West will need to work with emerging markets to deleverage. While the economic growth in the United States and the European Union has stagnated, global growth is driven by China and other emerging markets. Companies are turning to those markets. This is where the global economy has shifted East and is no longer driven by one dominant country. This heralds a new world order."

Unfortunately, this train of thought, with the prospect of China at the helm of the "new economic order", does not sit so tightly with reality. If the economic powerhouse of post-American hegemony wants to champion itself as the world's leading light, then the government needs to correct it internal problems. In the opinion of Will Hutton, Asia is just not innovative enough to seize the reins of global power yet.

Although Chinese premier Wen Jiabao was right in calling for rich nations to abandon their "unsustainable lifestyle" to fight climate change, perhaps he should first look at his own backyard: China is the world's greatest emitter of carbon dioxide.

Boldly, the British government has pledged to cut carbon emissions by 80% by 2050. That is an admirable goal but the massive cultural change needed to shift it away from the toxic system of consumerism to a more sustainable model is a tough nut to crack.

Ed Miliband, the new energy and climate change secretary, told MPs that the tough economic conditions were not an excuse to "row back" on the commitment to tackle global warming. However, with all these worthy initiatives coming from Mr Miliband, it is interesting to note that less than 1% of the UK's heat currently comes from renewable sources.

Contrast this with Germany, which has ten times as much wind power as Britain and 200 times as much installed solar power. America needs to play catch-up with them as soon as Mr Obama is in office.

Recession is already on Britain's doorstep and there's been a lot of talk about switching the world economy to a carbon-free future. Some naysayer's say it cannot be afforded but in October the government announced its intention to introduce a "feed-in tariff" (FIT), which guarantees rates for renewably produced electricity.

In the US, part of its bail-out is said to include $16bn of new green tax breaks for renewable energy, cleaner fuels and energy efficiency. That's encouraging. But are we to believe this or is it more idle rhetoric?

Governments the world over need to take Germany's cue and kickstart nascent industries, rewarding adopters of green technology. In the US, Mr Obama should send a clear message that he plans to take global warming seriously, first by appointing a "climate change czar", functioning as a special environmental adviser to the new president, and then taking bold new steps in arresting climate change.

We have yet to see what the new president will bring to the table but the old world order is surely finished and much of the world's enthusiasm over Barack Obama's victory was focused on change - his campaign slogan.

What we need to see is economic fundamentals being re-wrought into a new 21st century paradigm that rejects the consumer merry-go-round into a sustainable, edifying world that is seen to be dismantling toxic produce-and-dump economics in favour of one that benefits us all. It is also about time governments sidelined multinational corporations that refuse to go along with greening up. You can see the brutal reality of how these corporations wantonly and arrogantly pollute the planet, resulting in the cruel destruction of the Earth, in particular developing nations, on The Story of Stuff website.

But for that to happen we must all start to face the stark reality that colossal change must be made to economic systems and lifestyles, how we live and what we consume. The cultural changes necessary to bring this about will rent huge divisions for those reluctant to cede their fortunes of comfort - the pariahs of the new world order.

Laissez-faire capitalism doesn't work and has been proved not to work. It has also been the heart and soul of countries like Britain and the US for decades. Undoing it, rebuilding a system that is intelligent and renewable, is going to take time. And time is not something there's a great abundance of. It would also help if developed nations agree to clean technology transfers to the developing world to ensure some sense of equity.

The overriding question now is: will President Barack Obama accede to this mantle and start dissolving the Republican legacy of the toxic economy? He must; humanity is at a crossroads and it is the responsibility of everybody to play their part in rebuilding it anew, sustainably so. It is especially important that the lead comes from the world's great consumers and polluters: America.

Obama Care Health Care Rules For Business - Insanely Complicated

This Obama Care Health Insurance law is a nightmare and the last thing this nation needs right now, especially at a time when we need more jobs. The latest news is that the Obama Administration is intimidating large corporate health care insurance companies from raising rates. They have to, or they will go out of business, then you and I the taxpayer will end up paying for the losses incurred in public funded health care insurance.

Meanwhile, health care costs continue to skyrocket outpacing inflation by 10:1 for the last decade and no chance of slowing. So, you'd like to have a health care insurance debate with me would you? Well, I wouldn't go there if I were you, you can't compete with facts, besides maybe I should let you in on a few things first.

Okay, I admit it, I am much smarter than you, and probably a minimum of 40 IQ points, and if you voted for Obama, could even be significantly more than that, seriously, I am not going to lie to you to make you feel better, and I am not issuing certificates for participating or reading this article. You darn well better read my articles if you want to improve the gap mentioned above.

You see, I have one of those minds that just works awesomely, but I can tell you I've been reading some of the trade journals I take for various industries, many have articles on this new Obama health care bill, and I am amazed how complicated it is will all the requirements, fines, and phase-ins for 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014. Indeed, I am blown away, while reading all this four or five times to make any sense of it. It's a nightmare for small business.

And if the Obama Administration tries to tell us that small business likes this new law, because they really want to provide health care insurance for employees, and they applaud their efforts, well, that's just a load of smelly brown molasses looking material one might find in the aeration process at the POTW (publicly owned treatment works). Give me a break, no way will any small business person be happy about that.

In fact, it would make sense to fire as many employees as possible and hold off hiring anymore for as long as possible to avoid all that bureaucracy, as a small businessperson would need hire an accounting firm to administer just the employee health care insurance program, it is insanely complicated and utterly ridiculous, what a bunch of nonsense. This is what they produced?

No wonder Nancy Pelosi said;

Well, you'll just have to vote for it then, and see what's in the bill!"

Frightening Aspects of Barack Obama - A Historical and Constitutional Survey Based Upon Reason

What currently scares me so about Barack Hussain Obama are his generic public proclamations of proposed economic and political change, which, of course, were responsible, along with his teleprompter oratory, for 54 % of the electorate putting him dubiously in the White House (his eligibility is still suspect). Every reasonable citizen wants change that is for the better, but Obama's ready acceptance of, and apparent adoration for, the federal Executive Branch institutions that have created, and are still creating, the awful problems which the United States republic inexorably faces, politically and economically are very frightening. Shortly after being elected, President-Elect Obama made a statement to the media concerning, among other things, the Central Intelligence Agency and other quasi-government organizations, which need to be closely scrutinized in light of accurate historical facts, of which Obama should be cognizant. He said, as reported in a recent "Washington Post" article, that he "admires the past achievements of the CIA and considers it an honorable intelligence organization, that the Federal Reserve is essential to the financial security of the United States, and that the Council on Foreign Relations and the Tri-lateral Commission are indispensable to the American government. Well, concerning the history of the Company (the famous nickname of the CIA), there have been quite a few polices, or laws, created and implemented unilaterally by the Executive Branch, via the CIA, which were quietly and covertly authorized, and not legislated, by the Congresses which convened during the twenty-or-so years immediately following the Second World War. These de facto laws, if you want to call them that, were then and even now unknown to most citizens of the American republic during what was known as the Cold War. Even if you had been regularly sitting in the galleries of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives during open floor deliberations of proposed laws and resolutions, between 1946 and 1966, there were Senate and House bills decided in closed select committees (those comprising a few privileged senators, representatives, and "appointed" executive officers) which were never openly debated, nor voted-on and passed, by the assembled general congresses, but which determined U.S. domestic and foreign policy. In many cases these "laws" and policies were also totally unknown to most of the senators and representatives composing the general Senate and House of Representatives.

One of these clandestine policies which was concocted and operationally planned by the CIA, then secretly authorized by President Dwight D. Eisenhower and, lastly, described generically to only a few senators then constituting the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence as a project authorized by Presidential fiat, was "Operation Ajax," the 1953 covert CIA overthrow of the democratically chosen Iranian government and its very popular Prime Minister, and the subsequent installation of the Shah of Iran as the pro-Western Iranian leader, all for the control of Iranian oil. Why would I describe this unilateral Presidential fiat as de jure law?

Well, take for example a proposition that a particular day to be set-aside as a public holiday throughout the United States, so that government employees might be compensated for their time-off spent on such an occasion. A law creating the holiday must, supposedly, be legislated by Congress in order for it to be an official holiday. All of this government legislative formality, in the formation of a law, is considered essential in the creation of a mere holiday. Yet, a federal government agency, supposedly controlled directly by the Executive Branch, covertly plans, organizes, and implements the overthrow (with the help of British MI6) of a foreign democratically governed nation-state without the consent of the general Congress, and the act, in and of itself, is not considered law? Well, that's not quite all. A quasi-legal presidential executive order, which is disseminated openly, has the same "traditional" authority as that of a statute. And what is, such, a statute if not a law created by one person having legislative, executive, and judicial authority residing jointly in his hands? If you care to recall, the internment of Japanese-Americans during the Second World War, which was executed through Executive Order of Franklin Roosevelt and implemented by the FBI and the domestic offices of the OSS, which later became the CIA, was never questioned as constitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court until after the awful tragic damage, arising from the order, had been done. Then it was, subsequently, declared unconstitutional. The way executive orders got started was that the 1st Congress declined questioning an order, or fiat, from George Washington creating a federal mint for the coinage of U.S. money. That quasi-legal proclamation became some sort of precedent which might have prompted Abraham Lincoln, know as the compassionate dictator during the American Civil War, to suspend the writ of habeas corpus, which was also, later, declared an unconstitutional; but not until the damage to the republic was done.

Another historical example of the CIA's apparent authoritarian power over the U.S. Congress was Ronald Reagon's illicit Iran-Contra effort to sell arms to Iran for money to wage an illicit war in Central America; and the bombing of the Honduran Harbor by, and through, the planning and project implementation of CIA paramilitary operatives, under the direction of CIA Director Wild Bill Casey. During the intense Congressional investigation that shortly thereafter ensued, in the last half of Reagon's last term of office, the Iran-Contra scandal was brought out into the open, especially through the journalistic efforts of writer Bill Moyers with his book, "The Secret Government: The Constitution in Crisis." What seemed incredibly ludicrous during the televised investigation was the fact that Vice-President George H. Bush, Dubya's daddy, the former head of the CIA, claimed total ignorance of the Iran-Contra activities, and so did Ronald Reagon. The only major actual difference between "Operation Ajax," of the 1950s, and the covert CIA activities of the 1980s in Central America, was that "Operation Ajax" remained an illicitly protected government secret for many years, and the Iran-Contra Scandal became public knowledge rather quickly. Yet, both were obviously authorized by Presidential fiat, funded by a select mini-Congress and planned and carried-out by the CIA covert services. The fact the no powerful U.S. senators were formally indicted for duplicity in the Iran-Contra scandal does not mean that they were not directly involved, for political power has its direct benefits.

The most damning historical aspect about the CIA, which most ignorant citizens laughingly consider in retrospect, was that the 58,000+ dead American GIs, from the bloody 12 year ordeal in Vietnam, resulted from an undeclared war inculcated, planned, and administered by that essentially self-governing organization. During that time, from 1963 until 1975, military commanders in Vietnam, Generals Westmoreland and Abrams, took orders from CIA paramilitary spooks (speaking for the National Security Council and representing the White House) in the ongoing planning and deployment of high casualty operations. I-Corps and MAC-V, headquartered in Saigon, were essentially controlled by a few GS-15 paramilitary CIA spooks (directly linked to the National Security Council), not military personnel. These utterly despicable people, who succeeded in getting thousands of GIs killed through their arrogant hubris and ineptness, deceitfully wore the uniforms of Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps field commanders.

Presently, the FBI, the Central Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the, supposedly, controlling Department of Homeland Security collectively comprise an autonomous shadow government that does essentially what it wants to do, as allowed by the infamous Patriot Act; and, for some esoteric reason, are continually funded with open-ended congressional appropriations, multi-billions of dollars of tax money, of which the senators and representatives haven't any idea how it is actually being spent.

Mr. Obama should realize these facts, and that the CIA, and probably the NSA and DIA, have been permitted by a few powerful politicians to covertly establish, and to buy, corporations with tax money. Today, probably twelve multi-national, supposedly private, corporations (some listed on the stock exchanges) are producing profits, which are routinely used to fund the U.S. intelligence community's illicit covert interventions into the affairs of foreign nation-states, when tax dollars are not available. Would it be possible for Congress, at this late date, to de-authorize the vast far-reaching covert operations and connections of the CIA? Well, the popular movie, "Enemy of the State," which fictionally depicted an unsanctioned movement within the federal government to neutralize congressional opposition to NSA covert surveillance, is, I believe, more of a reality than fantasy. I personally believe that directly after newly elected U.S. senators and representatives raise their hands to swear to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, they are led into some top-secret room in the Capitol Building and told the real story of how the political game is played, and how their very lives will depend on how they must cooperatively play the game. Perhaps the polemic discourses heard from such, supposedly maverick U.S. Representatives, such as Ron Paul and Dennis Kusinich, are designed to make the people believe that there are other serious schools of thought among our elected representatives. Such wouldn't surprise me.

If President-elect Barack Obama thinks that the CIA and its intelligence affiliates are doing a fine job of running the foreign policy of the republic, he must also think that the Federal Reserve System is the paragon of economic virtue. During his campaign for nomination, I presumed that he had, either, turned a blind eye to the serious existing constitutional problems, or was ignorant of their presence, when he said, more than once, that the economic, social, and political changes which would come through his presidency would be effected through the existing agencies, departments, and institutions of the federal government. Historically, the New Deal (National Recovery Act) of Franklin D. Roosevelt, which was passed as rapidly, and carelessly, by Congress as was the original Patriot Act of 2001, was at the sore expense of constitutional government. Most constitutional scholars, if they are worth their salt, will agree that Roosevelt's alphabet soup of a vastly enlarged federal bureaucracy was declared unconstitutional three times by the U.S. Supreme Court before the pragmatic President packed the court with justices who were politically aligned with his vision of an all-powerful federal government. Further, isn't it just a bit sinister that the quasi-federal Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and Tri-lateral Commission (TLC) have held their policy meetings in secrecy, behind closed doors, and that certain powerful U.S. senators, representatives, all former U.S. Presidents, select federal bankers, and high-ranking federal agency officers comprise these organizations? The amount of information that has leaked out of their meetings has pointed to the tragic fact that the U.S. domestic and foreign policy that has been, supposedly, created in Congress has been first discussed and approved by the CFR and the TLC.

If Mr. Obama wants to change things for the better, he will, first, need to persuade Congress to repeal the Congressional acts and Constitutional Amendments (and their accompanying laws) which, like the Federal Reserve Act and the 16th Amendment have altered the basic sanctity of U.S. Constitutional government. The Federal Reserve Act has essentially destroyed the sound economic structure, based on a balanced budget, which was planned and deployed by the Framers to last through the ages. Congress was exclusively mandated by the U.S. Constitution, in Article 1, Section 8, to coin money and determine its value for the republic, not for a few privileged private bankers to create a system as a banking cartel. The Founding Fathers further presumed that the future Congresses would realize, and preserve, the great benefits derived from maintaining a viable gold and silver standard on which to base the sovereign value of the American dollar. Moreover, the First National Bank of the United States wasn't, and has never been, necessary (meaning essential) and proper to Congress' power to make laws in the execution of coining money and determining its value.

Moreover, the Federal Income Tax, created through the 16th Amendment, is an un-apportioned tax, which the U.S. Constitution eschewed in its original text. The Framers realized the fateful enigma attached to such a thing as an un-apportioned income tax, and that the power to tax is the ultimate power to destroy, or to create a creature of government worth destroying. If you think about it for a moment, the sovereign states which created the federal government, in 1789, could have easily imposed un-apportioned income taxes upon their citizens, if they hadn't realized the evil of an income tax, having reasonably realized that the people would not endure such a tax over time. This is why I believe that the 16th Amendment was fraudulently ratified by the states. Who in their right mind would have endorsed, and ultimately ratified, an un-apportioned federal tax on personal income? Don't you think that the will of the majority of the American electorate in 1913, regarding the sad effect of a federal income tax, would have immediately disposed from consideration such an amendment? The only real effects which have come from the googles and googles of tax dollars collected by the Internal Revenue Service since around 1915, have been the gargantuan growth and power of the federal government (along with the demise of state sovereignty), the exorbitant salaries paid to elected and appointed federal officers, and the development of a Romanesque military system that serves a sorely rabid foreign policy, which have made the United States the bully of the Northern Hemisphere, hated by billions of people around the globe.

I hope that when Barack Obama laid his hand on the Holy Bible during his inauguration, and swore to uphold, protect, and defend the United States Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic, he was doing it with a sense of honor and integrity; and that he fully remembered the text of the 10th Amendment, which, to my knowledge, is still a viable part of the Bill of Rights and of the Constitution. It states, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." This means exactly what it says, that purely state issues, such as public education, are not a concern of the federal government. The only way that public education became a federal matter was through the deceitful remitting of income tax money to the states, which shouldn't have been collected in the first place, in form of federal block grants and revenue sharing. Instead of freely giving the money back to the states, which they rightfully deserve, the feds placed requirements upon the states in order to receive the money. The same has been done with highway funding, speed limits, and other limitations set by federa effort on intra-state commerce, which shouldn't be a concern of Washington DC politics.

In my opinion, the very first legislation passed by the U.S. Congress to determine the status of public education in the States should have been blatantly declared unconstitutional; for that first imposition into an area reserved totally to the States, or the People, was a dangerous precedent. Certainly the federally propagandized window-dressing of a proposed U.S. Constitutional Amendment really intended, for example, to strip the citizens of their inalienable 4th Amendment rights to privacy and protection from illegal search and seizure, might seem initially attractive as presented by media pundits to a scared and intimidated electorate. But after its implementation, such a constitutional amendment would cause the republic's citizens to awaken to the harsh reality of an evolved federal police state.

Very similarly, the 14th Amendment's equal protection clause essentially eviserated the sovereignty of the states, in its explicit overriding of the 10th Amendment right of the States to police themselves. Now, the federal government has reserved unto itself, by U.S. Supreme Court rulings, the power to tell the states what rights they have, and don't have. Very few people seem to remember that the 14th Amendment was ratified in 1868 before the Southern Confederate states were allowed to, again, join in the ratification of proposed amendments. The Amendment was adopted only by virtue of ratification subsequent to earlier rejections by those states. In other words, the Southern secessionist States were made, or forced, to ratify the Amendment. They did it under protest. This is probably why it took so long for the South to outwardly accept racial integration as the proper course of a productive society. This is also why, for over a hundred years after the American Civil War, the horrible conflict was scathingly referred to by most of the white people of the South as the war of Northern aggression. Though many supporters of the 14th Amendment will say that the law insured a "morally" just society, there are as many people who believe and assert that a nation cannot ever properly legislate morality. Consider "Brown v. Board of Education, 1954." Even though the U.S. Supreme Court declared in that case that intentionally segregated public schools were wrong and were to be dismantled, segregation remained a serious problem throughout the land for many decades after the decision. I, as well as quite a few prominent historians, believe that the Southern States would have voluntarily abolished slavery within a few years after 1860, and that racial segregation would have ended much sooner in the South had ravaging a civil war not occurred at the behest of Abraham Lincoln.

It would seem that most American citizens under the age of 45 have a fundamental misunderstanding about the basic cause of the American Civil War. It wasn't fought over slavery, but, instead, the right of the States under the 10th Amendment to police and regulate themselves. If the federal government really wanted to deny the States their 10th Amendment rights, why wasn't a constitutional amendment proposed to repeal the 10th Amendment, as the Prohibition amendment was repealed? If the 14th Amendment has actually denied the States their rights, as guaranteed in the 10th Amendment, why hasn't some federal official proclaimed that the 10th Amendment is no longer a part of the Bill of Rights? Common sense, and an understanding of pragmatism, dictate that that the federal government does not want the People, or the electorate, to believe that the 10th Amendment is not still in effect, even though it has actually been negated by the 14th Amendment. You might say that the 10th Amendment has been unofficially re-worded to say, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution (will be delegated as seen fit by the federal government), and will be prohibited, and/or reserved, to the States as the federal government deems necessary)."

I, nonetheless, would rather prefer to think of the federal government, and its power, as a creation of the sovereign States, not visa versa. I recall the words of the imminent scholar Judge Thomas J. DiLorenzo, in his well documented book "The Great Centralizer: Abraham Lincoln and the War Between the States," when he said, "(Thomas) Jefferson himself, the principal author of the Declaration of Independence, stated in his First Inaugural Address, "If there be any among us who would wish to dissolve this Union or to change its republican form, let them stand undisturbed as monuments of the safety with which error of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it". Jefferson believed strongly in a state's right of secession, although he did not necessarily think that exercising the right would be wise. If a state (or states) wanted to secede, "God bless them both and keep them in the union if it be for their good, but separate them if it be better," he said while president."

Perhaps Mr. Obama is not as much a constitutional scholar as he purports. By him being elected overwhelmingly by 54% of all white, black, Hispanic, and Oriental, Native American, and Middle-Easter citizen voters, the combined American electorate expressed a demanding consensus of desperation that political, social, and economic change must occur in order to positively affect the average citizen's quality of life. And this does not mean a common desire for the expansion of the federal government and its power. If the current attitude of 80 percent of the people of the State of Vermont is of any significant import, their common desire presently to secede from the Union, in order to re-establish the Vermont Republic, is a stirring indication that the federal government is doing very little with all of its money and power for the people of Vermont.

The symptoms of vile ravaging diseases are, in some cases, sadly mistaken for conditions less destructive to life and property, but only at the expense of those experiencing the dire effects of those diseases. Yet, strangely enough, political and economic disease is frequently created and perpetuated by powerful Machiavellian politicians and private financiers who stand to substantially gain from what will, in effect, destroy a basic and necessary quality of life for working and struggling middle-class and lower-middle-class citizens, the backbone of a republic of sovereign states. The American republic is such an example.

The governors of the 50 states should, today, be arduously working to make their states free from the controlling effect of federal purse strings. Instead of pandering to the federal government for tax money (returned to the states as revenue sharing and grants-in-aid) to improve education, roads, and the health and human conditions of the people holding state residency, the state legislatures should be collecting, and using, tax money in order to implement the mandate of the 10th Amendment, as the Framers intended. Had this happened during the 1920's, if, and only if, the Federal Reserve Act and the 16th Amendment had not been passed in 1913, FDR's immense federal bureaucratic agenda would not have been pursued. It wouldn't have been necessary, and the Great Depression of 1929 would, in all probability, not occurred, and the States would be doing everything for themselves today that the federal government is doing for them. How would this be so? If the States were able to get and use, by taxation, all the billions of dollars that are presently flowing into the federal coffers, the standard of living for the poorest state would be dramatically increased. Remember, again, that the States created the federal government. The federal government did not create the States. Of course, it would certainly be a slower-paced lifestyle, where the quality of life for the individual U.S. citizens, in the States, would be much more important than U.S. foreign policy and a behemoth ever-expanding federal bureaucracy. There probably wouldn't be 20 million illegal aliens in the country, and the States would be providing a basic standard of living and working for their people, unknown in federal circles.

Perhaps it's more a poignant dream of returning to the way American government should operate under the prevailing U.S. Constitution than it is a probability. Every day, the federal government expands, in some way, to regulate, more so, the lives of American citizens. The U.S. Code of Federal Regulations is a convoluted bunch of legal rules, much like the U.S. Tax Code, not actually legislated by Congress (but written by un-elected federal regulators), which cover every aspect of all citizens' daily lives. It is comparable to the convoluted rules set forth in the huge compilation of laws legislated by the Federal Republic of Germany. In that system of government, the various districts and provinces of the German nation are creations of the federal government, which is totally different from the federal system of the United States. Such a dream as I have mentioned must, however, be based on a continuing hope that the basic honesty and integrity of the common hard-working folk of the American republic will ultimately converge into a mighty back-lash of resentment against the federal government; for it is the ultimate right of the people, according to the Declaration of Independence, to alter, or abolish, any form of government contrary to the natural and inalienable rights conferred upon all American citizens by the Creator.

New York Times Turns on Obama - Can Flyover Country Be Far Behind?

The new test of liberal political ideology seems to be, not whether you favor Obama's health care plan, but how long it takes you to realize what a disaster it is.

The American people were, as usual, first out of the gate to demonstrate their common-sense conservatism.  Although a slim majority voted for Obama in November, a growing preponderance has been telling pollsters they disapprove of the President and his handling of health care.   On Sunday, Rasmussen reported that Obama had reached a new low in their Presidential Approval Index, with health care one of his lowest-rated issues.

Like a teacher indulging a failing student's pleas to find a way to give him extra points on his test, the Congressional Budget Office has spent all summer admonishing Obama for presenting legislation that will be more expensive than advertised, produce no savings, and yield expanding and unsustainable deficits for the next 10 years.  ("Now, Barry, I've already given you all the credit I can-next time you'll just have to try harder.")

The Mayo Clinic, which Obama cites as a model for cost-cutting measures, called the Medicare payment model proposed by Congress a "catastrophe."

Seven state medical associations banded together with private medical societies and two previous AMA presidents in a letter to the President opposing the legislation.  The American Hospital Association is imploring hospital directors to counter Congress's bill, as are specialty associations such as the American College of Physicians.

John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods, penned an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal cataloging the myriad flaws in Democrats' proposal.

After Obama insulted the Postal Service in his quest for a bill, the National Association of Postal Supervisors wrote Obama a letter expressing "our collective disappointment that you chose to use the Postal Service as a scapegoat ...  [I]t was a kick to the chest to have you take a shot at a group of federal employees who are working hard every day to support this country."

Pseudo-moderate network CNN recently chronicled "Five Freedoms You'd Lose in Health Care Reform," including the freedom to negotiate details of your plan, cut costs by living healthier, choose a high-deductible plan, keep your current plan, and select your doctors.

The Associated Press fact-checked Obama's claims and called him out for continuing to tell the same lies: e.g., if you like your health insurance, you can keep it-the implication being that you can keep it for as long as your employer and insurance company would otherwise have offered it without government health care, which is outlawed in Congress's plan.

The Washington Post, no friend to conservatives, has been barraging readers with columns opposing ObamaCare.  Columnist David Hilzenrath affirmed that the administration would not be able to ensure that employees can keep the plans they have now.  Martin Feldstein explained that the 85% of Americans who now have insurance would pay higher taxes and receive fewer services.  Maya MacGuineas ridiculed the administration's pledge that it can add an expensive new health care plan covering millions more Americans that will cost no extra and actually alleviate the budget deficit.

The Post's editorial board also reminded the administration of the CBO's harsh projections and warned him not to treat these lightly.  In a separate editorial, they scorned Democrats' stubborn, mindless fixation on a public option.

Obama's own Hyde Park doctor suggests that Congress's legislation is worthless and adds of his patient, "I'm not sure he really understands what we face in primary care."

In the workers' paradise to our north, the current and incoming presidents of the Canadian Medical Association recently bemoaned the failures of Canada's universal health care system, calling it "sick," "precarious," and "imploding," and urged Canadian doctors to support free market reforms to the system.

The artist of the Obama "Joker" poster, Palestinian socialist and Dennis Kucinich supporter Firas Alkhateeb, admitted, "[Y]ou had all of these people who basically saw him as the second coming of Christ.  From my perspective, there wasn't much substance to him."

Air America host Christiane Brown decried Obama's reversal of his promise not to bar negotiation for lower drug prices, then purred, "He's such a charming liar, though.  He's such a nice guy when he lies like that."

On Sunday, Senator Joe Lieberman, who caucuses with Democrats, said he's changed his mind on proposed legislation and urges postponing it until the economy recovers.

Now The New York Times has gotten on the bandwagon; you might say they finally have some "skin in the game."  Times reporter David Pear reported a few days ago that there is, after all, a legitimate basis for elderly Americans' fear that legislation will lead to rationing of health care.

Paul Krugman criticized the President's priorities, belittled his dwindling ability to inspire confidence, and lamented that "his speeches and op-eds still read as if they were written by a committee."

Bob Herbert scolded Obama for not explaining why a gargantuan new government program is in our country's interest in the middle of a recession: "Many sane and intelligent people who voted for Mr. Obama... have legitimate concerns about the timing of this health reform initiative...  [He] has not been at all clear about how the reform that is coming will rein in runaway costs...  [P]eople are starting to lose faith in the president."

I'm glad the Times is finally starting to see the light on Obama's executive inexperience and his disastrous agenda.  Maybe now millions of Middle Americans who hang on Krugman and Herbert's every word will develop more confidence in expressing their opposition at all those town hall meetings I keep hearing about.

Any Increased Tension Between China and The Us - Blame it on Obama

For someone who graduated from Yale, you'd think that Barack Obama would understand global trade and the global economy a lot better than he does. [in my opinion]. Apparently, he doesn't because he doesn't understand [or perhaps care] that many of his actions are creating tensions between China and the United States. No, China has not been the world's best trading partner, but they have been our largest trading partner.

And yes, it is true that China has taken advantage of the United States' ability to purchase due to our strong middle-class to import almost as much as China was able to produce previously. Today, China could easily produce enough products for three or four countries the size of the United States. The entire EU, all put together barely equals the GDP of the US. So that would mean there are two countries so to speak with the ability to buy that number of products, but China could produce enough for five.

Therefore, China cannot continue its year-over-year growth of 10% by exporting products forever, there aren't enough customers, and are not enough raw materials in the world for them to keep doing this. Eventually they're going to have to produce products for themselves and allow other nations to come up in the world so that they can produce products for them as well. What they've done is overproduced for a world that does not need that much.

Because of this ability to overproduce, their prices have also come down on many items and this has hurt American manufacturers. Most of the manufacturing companies in the United States which use union labor are upset that all of their manufacturing jobs are going overseas. President Obama made good on a campaign promise he made before his election to help the steel workers union by levying tariffs against China's exports recently.

You see, although President Obama has not often made good on his promises as President, he has discovered that the healthcare insurance bill was going to charge an additional tax for "Cadillac Health Care Plans" which meant that many of the steel worker union employees, most of them, would be charged extra money for their healthcare insurance.

Therefore, the union did not support Obama's health care plan. So to make this up to them and to make good on his promise before the election he put a tariff on Chinese tires. In other words, he would sacrifice US Chinese trade relations to appease the unions, this is the same type of union that caused the auto industry to collapse, and have lobbied for more regulations on corporations to serve the union's political will, forcing American companies to take their jobs overseas.

President Obama is now part of the problem, in my personal or professional opinion after following politics, and free trade issues for over 30 years. I honestly believe Obama should be impeached. And I believe this should happen immediately. Please consider all this.

Health Care Reform - The Case Against Obama Care

Candidate Obama promised to bring a "change you can believe in" to Washington politics and the way government has been doing business for decades. These main two selling points brought him into the White House. One year later, fair-minded liberals as well as conservatives would admit he failed in either one miserably.

Failure to succeed on a promise would give any President a bad grade; but in failing to bring change into Washington politics, and hence get his health care agenda passed in the middle of a democratically well controlled House and Senate, President Obama displayed an inexcusable performance, one that in a competitive, profit maximizing corporation would have cost him his job by now. The reason his failure is so profound has to do with his luck of understanding of the key components of the problem at hand. The luck of understanding of these fundamental components at this time of economic uncertainty, begs the need to question Mr. Obama's inexperience in governing, as well as his inability to recognize the issues at hand towards deciding on a course of action and bringing forward sensible arguments that people can believe in.

With regards to healthcare reform, the issues Americans are faced with go beyond covering the uninsured and bringing shame to insurance companies. Certainly the above have to be dealt with but the health care issue is not a poor man's prerogative. Every family, from poor to middle class is faced with exorbitant health insurance costs while at the same time incremental health benefits have not kept up with technological progress, hence have not been realized. It is not unusual for a middle class family to be paying one third of its income on health insurance only to be asked to also pay co-pays, coinsurance costs, etc. At the same time, it is clear that the existing reimbursement system has stifled technological innovation in medicine and diseases like cancer, HIV, etc., are still around after decades of expenditures in research and investment in human capital. Relative speaking, when it comes to health care the US is the most technologically advanced nation, but nationally, we have been making baby steps in terms of dealing with serious illnesses.

So what is the way out of this mess or the best way to fix "the problem" in health care? For one thing we have to accept the fact that this is a "universal" issue and not an issue just for the poor and uninsured. Not accepting this as the main problem and trying to fix the issue by pouring dollars indiscriminately -over one trillion of government debt, is not only unwise but rather irresponsible as well. One has to recognize the big cost components that contribute to this problem and deal with all of them. The big components are:

1. Medicare & Medicaid

2. Reimbursement and patient responsibility

3. Consumer cost and incentives for better utilization of health resources

4. Uninsured

Medicare reform is necessary in order to provide incentives for doctors to treat patients according to good medicine protocols. A doctor who refuses to take a Medicare patient because of poor reimbursement is in fact raising the cost for that patient when he becomes too ill and seeks care in the emergency room. A secondary effect is that doctors are getting out of the field that has not provided a satisfying career of practicing medicine for the patient. Fewer doctors means less care which in term means poorer health outcomes therefore higher costs. It is a vicious circle that can only be stopped with sensible reform. The same goes for Medicaid. Poor management and reimbursement induces massive inefficiencies and skyrocketing costs. In the end, it is the patient that suffers and who in tern adds to ever rising costs and more inefficiencies.

One way to fix Medicare is to continue the existing privatization that allows private companies to compete and the patient to bear some of the responsibility. Our research has shown that the doughnut hole may indeed be a black hole that induces patients to switch or avoid therapy altogether, which in tern produces poor outcomes and hence higher costs. However, if the model is revised the patient can still bear some of the financial responsibility and hence use the system wiser, but he is not faced with such a catastrophe to be making unwise treatment decisions.

The uninsured pool is made of two cohorts. The poor and the...not so poor who are willing, or forced to game the system. The two uninsured groups are:

1. Uninsured because of poverty, and

2. Uninsured because the proposed legislation would allow one to game the system by avoiding (high cost) insurance and only paying for it on the way to the hospital

Instead of forcing people to buy insurance (by imposing a penalty which silly enough is less than the cost of insurance), incentives should be provided to induce wise and parsimonious utilization of resources. People are not criminals and should not be treated as such by imposing severe fees/penalties to induce them to a certain behavior; in general, people act wisely and will always seek behavior that seems fair for the benefit received. Health accounts that are set aside to use in time of need should not be "use it or lose it" types; after all, who wants to set aside thousands of dollars per year, on top of insurance premiums, just to cover an emergency that may never occur? I know of many people who think this is insane and counterproductive.

The proposed legislation approved by Congress is basically dead and members of Congress, be it republicans or democrats, have been disassociating themselves from it. The truth of the matter is, these proposals were concocted behind closed doors, with brides and kickbacks and no one can trust them. For a bi-partisan proposal and a change people can believe in, the existing proposals should be thrown out and new ones should begin from scratch.

Obama 'Accommodates' Catholics

The Affordable Care Act may not be repealed even if a Republican wins the upcoming presidential election, but we could at least give it a more suitable name. How about the Law of Unintended Consequences?

Though he'll never say so, President Obama probably agrees that this would be a more accurate moniker, after the shellacking he endured last week over the law's application to Catholic-affiliated schools, hospitals and other institutions that are not strictly houses of worship.

At the root of the dispute is the ACA's mandate that most insurance plans offer a loosely defined set of preventive health services without requiring participants to incur co-payments, deductibles or other out-of-pocket costs. The Department of Health and Human Services issued regulations last month classifying contraception as one of the preventive services that must be offered. The law contains an exception for religious institutions, written with the Roman Catholic Church's objections in mind, but HHS declared that this exception applied narrowly to churches and church affiliates. Church-run schools and hospitals that employ or serve the general population had to offer free contraception.

Or at least, that was the HHS position until the nation's Catholic hierarchy mounted a sharp political backlash.

Catholic doctrine abhors all forms of contraception except abstinence. Although 28 states already require health insurance to cover birth control, most treat oral contraceptives like any other pharmaceutical. That usually means individuals pay the prescribed co-payment, which depends on whether the drug is a generic or brand name, and on whether it is eligible for preferred pricing as part of the plan's formulary. A lot of the financial benefit of such coverage comes from the insurer's ability to negotiate a favorable price for the drug, rather than from the premium paid by the employer.

The Church does not like those state-level requirements either, but it has been willing to live with them. Few, if any, Catholic institutions have dropped their prescription or other health coverage as a result of such mandates.

But the federal mandate would have gone further, forcing Catholic institutions that pay for their employees' insurance to underwrite contraceptives as part of the plan. Supporters of the HHS rule saw this as a protection for women's reproductive freedom as well as their general health. The Church saw it as a direct attack on religious liberty.

The controversy quickly mounted to levels that could be dangerous to Obama's political health. Catholics are an important swing vote in presidential elections, and they form a critical bloc in vital Electoral College states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin and Florida. Obama's campaign advisers promptly spread the word that the commander-in-chief would have more to say on the matter.

He said it on Friday, in an announcement that the White House billed as an "accommodation" of Catholic leaders' concerns. Under the proposed rule, plans offered by religious institutions would not have to directly cover contraception; instead, birth control would be included in a separate but mandatory policy rider. And insurers, not employers or employees, would have to pick up the tab. Obama declared that he was acting "as a citizen and a Christian."

"I understand that some folks in Washington want to treat this as a political wedge issue," added the president, whose rhetoric has shown on many occasions that wedge issues are a topic on which he has some expertise.

On health care economics, not so much. Insurers do not have a magical printing press that produces money. Logically, either the president's position is that insurance company shareholders (including Catholic institutions and individuals) ought to pay for other people's contraception, or it is that all policyholders (including, of course, Catholic institutions) must pay for the services through their premiums, but we will pretend that they do not.

Logic and faith do not always go together well, however, so the White House came up with a kind of immaculate conception for contraception. Insurers must bear the cost of providing contraceptives, said the White House press statement that accompanied Obama's appearance in the briefing room, but there won't be any cost - because contraceptives pay for themselves in other avoided costs. Those avoided costs, by the way, are babies, the avoidance of whom is what the Catholic bishops believe to be immoral in the first place.

Or, as the White House spinners put it in a "fact sheet" - it's not often we get to argue facts in a religious debate - providing free contraception is "cost neutral." How did the Obama administration uncover this truth when neither the nation's insurers nor the employers who pay them ever figured it out? Why have we made our workers pay for contraceptives all these years, when really we could have given pills away for free? Employers of America, wake up! You can cut down your maternity and family leave costs, and do it for nothing.

For that matter, why stop at religious-affiliated institutions? If free contraception is really cost neutral for insurers, why not mandate that insurers hand out free birth control to all Americans? It would be no skin off their backs, according to the president.

Nobody is proposing to do that. I guess this proves there are limits to faith.

Unfortunately, those limits were brushed aside in the battle to enact the Affordable Care Act. Already, the administration has had to hand out more than 1,000 waivers of the law's provisions just to keep employers from immediately dropping their coverage, and this is well before many of the Act's more stringent provisions take effect in 2014. Still, many employers are likely to drop their company plans regardless. I stopped paying for my own employees' health coverage in October 2010, for reasons I have previously discussed in this space.

As it does in so many areas, the Affordable Care Act overreaches on contraception. For one thing, one need not (and I personally do not) share the Catholic position on birth control to recognize that pregnancy is not an illness that needs to be "prevented." It is a choice that individuals ought to make for themselves.

Nobody needs to get pregnant for lack of access to birth control. The law's mandate addresses a problem we don't have. Condoms, a nonprescription item, are already available for free at many public health offices and at low cost at virtually every pharmacy. Condoms don't have the side effects of oral contraceptives, and they prevent sexually transmitted diseases too. Why give American men the argument that they should not have to buy or use condoms because women can get the pill gratis? Why force any employer, whether religious or otherwise, to pay for a treatment that isn't actually treating anything?

"Aha!" you might say, "birth control pills are used in medical treatments." That's absolutely true. The pills are used to treat irregular periods, polycystic ovary syndrome and insulin resistance, among other things. Other drugs can also be used for such issues. So we should ask why we want to require one form of treatment, which has contraception as a side effect, to be free of co-payments and other out-of-pocket costs, while other treatments are not. This would only skew patients and their doctors toward using birth control pills even when they may not be the best solution medically.

Obama and his fellow Democrats were confident two years ago that the more Americans saw of the Affordable Care Act, the more they would like it. It hasn't worked out that way. The president almost certainly wants to spend as little time as possible defending the law in his re-election bid, but last week's controversy shows that the issue is not going to soon disappear. This is, after all, the Law of Unintended Consequences.

Obama and His Lottery Winner Syndrome

What would be the chance in politics of a real rags to riches story? Who would have thought that a well educated, but relatively poor, young man from South Chicago could become president? What kind of odds would there be for a community organizer to strike the political mother load prize of all elections, the White House? Practically unthinkable, but yet that is what has happened in our lifetimes.

Indeed, this "poor man -- rich man" scenario actually happened. Before he came on the scene no one thought it possible. He was a man who through a series of fortuitous events, a strange accident of luck and fortune for him, was able to get elected and became a do-nothing State of Illinois legislator in Springfield, Illinois -- a man who drank beer and played cards at night with powerful legislators to get "on the in" with these party bosses. He produced scant legislation, and one wonders if there was a plan to this apparent ineptitude which would make it possible for him to have little or no record to run on or against when he decided to run for the U.S. Senate.

After two years in the Senate the record shows that again he failed to create much of a leadership name for himself -- he was a do-nothing Senator -- but it was then that he started running for president -- ultimately winning the national election and becoming president?

It's almost the stuff of fairy tales. It is so far-fetched it couldn't have just happened, it had to have been orchestrated, including the outrageous amount of political funding he was privately able to amass with outside help. History tells us that this black Arab man's white mother was poor and she couldn't have sent him to college, certainly not to Harvard and Columbia.

We knew little about Obama's school writings, he sealed the record. He was president of the law review and admits that there were articles that he authored, which is normal and which could have revealed his character and political leanings and where he would take the country if elected president.

Research does tell us he had a private Arab donor who footed his college bills. It also tells us that he had grown up essentially fatherless, except for a black communist Muslim friend of his mother who was in their home often, a communist by the name of Frank Marshall Davis, someone who had taken Barack Husein Obama to a Muslim mosque for indoctrination at an early age, something he will not admit even to this day. He even denies any communist or Muslim influence or background, but the facts are clear. There is a history of this guy "Frank" in Obama's life, a man whom even Obama admits was often in his home. He was a communist leader in Hawaii and the facts don't lie that there was this relationship.

Not only has he sealed his school writings, but his actual birth certificate, called a "vault" record because he has apparently paid someone off in Hawaii to seal this record from public scrutiny. He did produce a phony computer copy that states he was born in Hawaii, but if that is so why won't he produce the actual "vault" copy which we believe would have revealed he was born in Kenya, Africa where his father lived, making him ineligible to run for the presidency.

Why didn't he reveal either the birth certificate or his writings? Because they would have made it impossible for him to become elected because of the restriction that a presidential candidate must have been born in the United States or in one of its territories and to reveal his past writings would have revealed him as a liar, a man who actually favored government ownership of banks, insurance companies, automakers and all sorts of means of production, something which is becoming abundantly clear each day of his administration.

Why don't I just say it? It would have uncovered the facade of Americanism and fealty and patriotism to the U.S. flag and Constitution; and it would have revealed an out-and-out communist -- not just a socialist or a sympathizer of communism -- but the communist that he is. Even with all of this information, we have barely scratched the surface of who this man Barack Husein Obama really is. Who in the Soviet Union does he most earnestly want to emulate? How will he get on next week when the financial Group of Twenty meet and he has a chance to talk to one of the most successful communist leaders in the world, Hu Jintao. How they get on should shed further light on where he plans to take America during these coming dangerous days.

The chances of a man or woman like this ascending to the highest office in the land are slim to none, except if someone mentored and backed him financially. That would be two separate persons. Originally that someone, we believe, was an Arab prince who funded his college education. There are no free rides in this life, so one must wonder what favors he owes this man in return for his generosity? And what about the rich man who actually paid the lion's share of his three-quarter million political campaign fund raising which totally overwhelmed his opponent, Senator John McCain. If my statements are in error, I would invite President Obama to set the record straight with an accurate and independent audit and report of what I believe was a most fraudulent and dishonest campaign starting with the funding and ending with the favors he must owe individuals and countries across the globe.

The poor man's name, of course was Barack Hussein Obama, the middle name of which he shuns even to this day for obvious political reasons. He has tried to disassociate himself from Islam and the Muslim movement, even for 20 years associating with a branch of the Church of Christ in Chicago and the bombastic, outspoken critic of the U.S., Rev. Jeramiah Wright whom under constant fire from critics he repudiated, finally leaving that church.

Obama curried favor with a convicted felon gangster, Tony Rezko, who had much to do with his financial ability to purchase his home in South Chicago. He also associated with a known terrorist, William Ayers, and his terrorist wife Bernardine Dohrn, but he disavows knowing them very well despite the fact that he started his campaign for the state senate in their house. Is it any wonder this president has had such a terribly hard time finding honest people to name to important positions in his administration. Half a dozen of his "vetted" personalities had not paid their taxes, including his treasury secretary Timothy Gaithner who owed more than $40,000 including interest, a man who is now chief tax collector in America. That history would usually disqualify such a man for this office, and now because of his many gaffes and lack of success, many are calling for Gaithner's resignation. Several proposed appointments had scandalous pasts, including New Mexico governor Richardson.

Obama is member of the liberal Democratic Party in America which only too well remembers the 9/11 attacks and the atrocities of taking down the World Trade Center, an attempted suicide collision with the Pentagon and the White House, resulting in killing 3,000 Americans, a carefully planned heinous attack perpetrated by Arab nationals mainly from Saudi Arabia, an attack for which international terrorist Osama Bin Laden takes full credit, a man who is at large today somewhere in the Afghan hills planning another strike on American soil. If he has his way, this time it will be with the use of a nuclear weapon, thanks to the willing assistance of Iran and maybe the knowledge of a man who may become known as the most notorious traitor of all time Barak Obama.

Those are strong words. I would invite you to read the blog, Advance Indiana for further detail: "His name as a young child was changed to Barry Soetoro when his mother married Indonesian citizen Lolo Soetoro and moved to Jakarta. Indonesian school records state that Obama was an Indonesian citizen and not an American citizen and that his religion was Islam and not Christian, protestations by Obama to the contrary notwithstanding. When or how Obama acquired U.S. citizenship or changed his name back to Barack Hussein Obama is unclear. A birth certificate produced by the Obama campaign was determined by several document experts to be a forged document.

"We know from his autobiography that he had Muslim roommates in college of foreign nationality. Now it turns out that an influential, radical black Muslim with close ties to the Saudi royal family and an outspoken opponent of Israel helped finance Obama's law school education. Obama's benefactor at the young age of 25 is Dr. Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour a/k/a Donald Warden. Here are some facts you should know about al-Mansour according to a Newmax investigative report:

* "He is well known within the black community as a lawyer, an orthodox Muslim, a black nationalist, an author, an international deal-maker, an educator, and an outspoken enemy of Israel."

* In a 1995 book, "The Lost Books of Africa Rediscovered," he alleged that the United States was plotting genocide against black Americans.

* He was the mentor of Black Panther Party founder Huey Newton and his cohort, Bobby Seale.

* Al-Mansour's more recent videotaped speeches focus on Muslim themes, and abound with anti-Semitic theories and anti-Israel vitriol.

* At the same time he was raising money for Obama's education he was representing top members of the Saudi Royal family seeking to do business and exert influence in the United States.

* He advises Prince Alwaleed bin Talal in his U.S. investments. Prince Talal is most famous for offering $10 million to the City of New York following 9/11, a contribution turned down by Mayor Rudy Giuliani because the Prince said American policies were to blame for the terrorist attacks. [Study some of the anti-American comments Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is making as she travels to different countries. Now in Mexico she is stating that the problems Mexico is having with Narco gangs is partly America's fault. I am wondering what she will say to Chinese leaders if North Korea shoots off a missile that kills Americans in Alaska?].

* "Prince Alwaleed has made tens of millions in contributions to Muslim-American charities, some of whose leaders have been charged by our government with terrorism-related ties. Prince Alwaleed also donates millions to Harvard for Islamic studies.

"Newmax sought a response from the Obama campaign about the financial assistance Obama received from al-Mansour, but the campaign refused to respond. This disclosure came in a very unlikely fashion. Percy Sutton, a prominent African-American businessman, was being interviewed when he described how he first came to know Obama. "I was introduced to (Obama) by a friend who was raising money for him," Sutton told NY1 city hall reporter Dominic Carter. "The friend's name is Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, from Texas," Sutton said. "He is the principal adviser to one of the world's richest men. He told me about Obama." "Sutton, the founder of Inner City Broadcasting, said al-Mansour contacted him to ask a favor: Would Sutton write a letter in support of Obama's application to Harvard Law School?"

"Think about how many mainstream media reports there have been this past week trying to link Gov. Sarah Palin to the Alaskan Independence Party, which supports secession from the United States. Yet, this revelation about Obama's past received no attention from the news media. Why? Obama critic Andy Martin thinks the revelation is a big one. "This latest disclosure may be the 'smoking gun' that discredits Obama and destroys his candidacy." [Obviously it didn't] "And I think I know where it came from. I honestly do not see Obama surviving financial links to a close adviser of a member of the Saudi Arabia monarchy, not when Saudis were the instigators of 9/11." "Even a slight link to Saudi money would disqualify anyone from the presidency in the mind of almost every American." I agree with Martin that it is a big revelation. But this American news media has already decided Obama is The One."

But who was it that put the political ideas into Obama's head, or was it a combination of people? It is difficult for any reasoning person to believe that suddenly three-quarters of a million Americans on the Internet donated each one thousand dollars toward his election -- or that twice that number donated five hundred dollars. He claims most of his donations were of the one or two-dollar variety, so the number of Internet supporters would have to approach a million. The election laws are so loosely managed in America that, despite evidence of voting fraud, even to this day we the public do not know for sure what happened. But we do know that many of the donations were bogus, even coming in with comic names like Spiderman. That much has been documented elsewhere. Voting commission fraud doesn't seem to be a thing that the Democrat-controlled Congtress or publicly funded ACORN wants to get into when it affects the eligibility of one of its own, Mr. Obama. ACORN itself is rife with corruption. It is really an arm of the Democratic Party funded by all American taxpayers, which is scandalous and shameful.

And what about those bus visits to Connecticut homes of those AIG execs who received Barak Obama, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd-sanctioned bonuses despite the fact America bailed AIG out? Acorn is founder of The Working Families Party, the group that hired a bunch of poor people to picket and shout obscenities in front of these homes, intimidating these AIG employees and putting them up to national ridicule, shame and scorn. But did they do the same to Franklin Raines, former president of Fannie Mae who walked away with obscene bonuses and salary of over $90 million in only six years of incredibly poor management, a performance that helped cause the meltdown in the first place?

ACORN is the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. While in Chicago, Obama was one of their trainers and could have put them up to this nonsense.

The scorn, ridicule, and rage started with the Congress and the president. It was a cover up for their own mistakes and ineptitude in voting for the AIG bonuses in the first place and for failing to read the bills they actually voted for. Allegations of voter fraud against ACORN are not trumped up, they are real. And why in the world in America should the taxpayers foot the bills for a partisan Democratic front group known as ACORN? While it is true they gave part of the money they got from us taxpayers to Republicans, it was a very minor part compared to that which they forked out to Democrat candidates including Obama.

When Obama started his quest for the presidency, Las Vegas gambling houses would have given him a one in a million chance of prevailing over Hillary Clinton in the Democratic Primary, then an even poorer chance of defeating an experienced Senator from Arizona, even a Viet Nam war hero, John McCain, someone with excellent credentials, someone who could have stepped into the presidency and made excellent decisions on day one as commander in chief.

Interestingly, it was in Nevada where Clinton and Obama were running even in the polls. That was before ACORN weighed in and lent Obama a considerable assist, helping to defeat Clinton in a clearly partisan way. Who says we have free elections in America since the advent of Barak Obama? By all rights, Clinton should be president today -- or John McCain -- had it not been for the publicly funded and highly partisan ACORN.

But Obama pulled off the worst election scam in history. He is president today, but he so much resembles that kid from the poorest part of the country who had nothing -- no car, no means, no real job, and suddenly he wins the lottery and becomes filthy rich with fifty million dollars.

This kid lets his new-found wealth go to his head, lots of girl friends, buys expensive cars and a house for his mother and gambles it all away within two months of becoming rich and again ends up a pauper.

Obama is this poor kid made rich who comes to Washington with nothing better to do than spend, spend, spend malevolently or just because he never had anything himself, we do not know...until like the poor boy who won the lottery, within two months he bankrupts the country while living high on talk shows and giving lavish White House parties, traveling the country each week to town halls in Airforce One as if it is suddenly 2012 and he's running for office again.

If you think all of this is fantasy, think again. It is precisely where we stand today as a bankrupt country after this profligate young man, a man who never had anything before coming to Washington, has strong-armed a Democratic congress and has them in his pocket. Congress has passed every bill he has suggested, spent every dime he has urged on them, being as dishonest as he is, not realizing -- or maybe he does realize and it's all part of the grand plan to bring America to its knees -- what the multi-zillion-dollar bailouts of banks, Detroit, and now insurance companies and perhaps any corporation or company he likes is doing to our people.

It's likely that this profligate's treasury secretary will continue to have his way with an obsequious congress. It continues to suck up to this near-do-well in the White House who with the president's blessing wields more power than any previous treasury secretary, even power to at a whim declare any private or public company a threat to the economy, thus grabbing or nationalizing this company and that "for the public good" in truly Marxist fashion, the likes of which we haven't seen in America or even dreamed could happen since those discredited outlaws Hitler and Stalin came to power in Germany and Russia more than sixty years ago.
