Happy Birthday Form the Social Security Administration

(The biggest ponzi-scheme ever perpetrated against the American Wage Earner).

Upon attaining age 62 and at the advice of a friend I went to the local Social Security administration to inquire as to the state of my social security retirement. I was quite surprised to find out from the nice lady that it would be a smidgen under $1,000 per month. However if I continued to earn the income I need to pay my monthly obligations that it would be nothing. If and when I reach the age of seventy years old then I could draw my retirement without being penalized for being economically and financially productive.

After working for forty six years I feel like I have been had. I am still paying on the last $15,000 that I had to borrow to pay my self-employment tax from two years ago. OK, I should have set it aside in a pre-paid estimate. I tried but was short because of an extra successful year. Now that times are thinner, I still am paying on the $15K and need to work an additional eight years too.

The nice lady at the Social Security office explained it to me this way. As I need $5,000.00 per month to pay my monthly obligations, the first fifteen percent of every dollar I make for SS tax, Federal and State income tax, health insurance (self employed), home payment, home maintenance, transportation and fuel, auto insurance, and so on. It was shown me as follows. Take the $60,000.00 and subtract $14,200.00. Divide the remainder by two. $45,800.00 divided by two is $22,900.00. Take that result and divide my SS benefits ($1,000.00) in to it, the results are equal to a little under 23. Now any result greater than 12 means I have the amount equal to my benefits subtracted from my SS benefits for the whole year. If the result had been 12 or less but greater than zero, then I would have the amount equal to my SS benefits subtracted from my retirement for the number of months equal to that number between zero and 12.

I will need to work past the age of seventy if I am to meet my financial obligations and realize social Security benefits. I would have been much better off with a force funded annuity to start drawing from. Bernie Madof went to prison for 120 years for less of a fraud than the US Legislatures have perpetrated against the tax-paying American public.

Well, that is enough of crying over spilled milk. All this to say that I need, in deed, all American wage earners need to provide for their own retirement years without dependence upon a government that has ponzi managed our retirement funds and driven the postal service into the ground.

I have outlined the problem, now for the solution.

There are many ways to develop an income that will dwarf most Social Security benefits. The grass root ability of the American consumer when they work together is an awesome force. Working together by virtue of networking together with each other can control whole industries. Just take a look at the premier national seniors origination as an insurance consumer group for example. If there were to be a consumer pharmaceutical base origination similar to the premier national seniors origination started, it would make drug producers set up and take notice. Likewise, many seniors as well as earlier aged people like to travel. There have been several travel clubs and origination's that have sprung up which allows people of all ages to get very favorable prices on cruises and resort stays as a result of banning together.

The point here is that when people ban together they can save and cut costs. Too, if utilized correctly they can also cut out a huge piece of the profit pie to put in their own pockets. Finally marketers are recognizing the fact that people will organize into like minded groups to achieve a better lifestyle.

Why not utilize the available resources to develop an income that will replace the supposed and weak at best retirement programs touted by government agencies. We can do better! We can work together, with each other and enjoy ourselves with purpose. Let us help each other by joining in union, one with another the develop strength in numbers.

The old parable of one old stick can be broken easily. A bundle of old sticks can be very very strong, much stronger than the sum of the individuals by themselves. Together they can lend support to others, influence with authority, and through their strength in numbers have and take control. This is not to mention the wealth of wisdom and knowledge possessed by that bundle. What a wonderful bag of tricks.

I am The Money Miser. Will you join me? Will you become part of the solution?

Like any other ordinary citizen I like to travel. My friends like to travel. But with activities being limited by financial means, it is hard to take the cruises and stay at the resorts like we desire. There is a way to travel and get paid too and do it for less. How Payroll Software Can Reduce The Paye Administration Burden

If you are an employee your employer has a legal responsibility to operate a paye scheme and provide the employee with regular payslips a P60 end of year certificate and a P45 showing details of gross pay and income tax deducted during the employment if you leave.

An employer needs a paye system that satisfies both these payroll requirements and the additional paye records required by the Inland Revenue.

Calculating an employee gross pay is not difficult for most employers as the rates and hours are usually preset or subject to known information such as a timesheet for example. Calculating the income tax and national insurance can present problems to employers inexperienced in payroll matters who are not familiar with the revenue requirements. Payroll software can automate this part of the paye administration reducing both the time and knowledge required.

When an employee joins a new business they must provide the new employer with a P45 which contains specific essential information that employer needs. The P45 contains details of the employee name and address, previous earnings and the amount of income deducted by the previous employer. The P45 also states the employee tax code and any special conditions that may have been in force such as being deducted tax on a week one or month one basis.

These details on the P45 are necessary as the new employer needs to initially set up a set off paye records for each employee which can be obtained from the P45. Rather than filing the P45 under a pile of papers or the back of a drawer a payroll software solution adds discipline to this process and permits a permanent record to be kept which can prevent serious paye deficiencies inb the future.

Documents and notes on scraps of paper can get lost while employee details kept on a proper package rarely do and can be backed up as required.

The P45 does not contain details of national insurance contributions as the new employer does not need to know what the previous national contributions were. This is because national insurance contributions are always calculated on a week by week or month by month basis and so previous deductions are not relevant while previous details of income tax deducted are relevant because income tax is deducted on a cumulative basis.

Having established the employee records the main work of the paye system begins. Each pay period the employer needs to calculate the income tax and national insurance to be deducted. This can be done manually or the employer can laboriously enter the employee and previous pay details into a paye calculator to obtain the information. This is a better choice as these paye functions are automated by that payroll software.

The employer is required to keep accurate records of the breakdown of the calculation which are recorded on a P11 deductions working paper. This part of the paye administration is a burden for many small employers and payroll software can automate this task saving hours of work during the year.

Next the payslip which is highly important to employees and the employer has a legal responsibility to provide one. Designing a payslip and ensuring it meets all legal requirements is much easier if a standard legally correct format is adopted as part of an automated payroll software system rather than manually preparing the payslip each period.

When an employee leaves they must be given a P45 to take to their next employer and the paye system adopted must provide the information to complete the P45 accurately. It is a foregone conclusion that using it to generate this information can ease the administrative burden and provide accurate information satisfying the legal requirements of the paye system.

At the end of the financial year the paye administrative burden is increased if manual records are kept as the employer needs to produce a P14 showing the employee deductions and provide each employee with a P60 certificate showing the employee gross pay and deductions. Payroll software can automatically generate the gross pay totals and the income tax and national insurance contributions providing the information required.

The payroll records must also produce the information for the P35 annual employer return showing the income tax and national insurance deducted from each employee and if an employer is operating a manual payroll system then this task is often put aside and can lead to returns a filed late and incurring late filing penalties. With a solution the information is available immediately the final pay period has passed and the figures can easily be submitted online not only saving late penalty fines but also gaining a tax free online bonus.

Using payroll software can not only save time and reduce the paye administration burden but save the employer money too.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, also referred to as the NHTSA, is a government agency that is part of the United States Department of Transportation. The NHTSA was formed in 1970 with the passage of the Highway Safety Act of 1970. The NHTSA also dates back to the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966 and the Highway Safety Act of 1966. It also has ties to the Motor Vehicle Information and Cost Savings Act of 1971. The NHTSA's mission statement on their website states that their main focus is "to save lives, prevent injuries and reduce traffic-related health care and other economic costs."

The NHTSA operates under three main areas; research, information and education, and funding other research. The NHTSA is responsible for writing and enforcing safety, theft-resistance, and fuel economy standards for motor vehicles. It is also responsible for licensing vehicle manufacturers and importers, allows or blocks the import of vehicles and safety regulated vehicle parts, administers the VIN system, develops the dummies used in crash test safety as well as the standards for those tests, and provides vehicle insurance cost information.

Since the inception of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration highways deaths in the United States have declined almost annually. Since the year 1960, the number of deaths per miles travelled has declined incredibly. The current number of deaths per year on United States roads hovers around 40,000. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has also expanded to include consumer information programs as well. One of the main reasons for the creation of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration was due to public pressure in the United States to create safer automobiles. One of the provisions by Congress made it a law to install safety belts in all newly manufactured vehicles. The meetings held by Congress occurred in 1966 and those same meetings produced the creation of the United States Department of Transportation.

Prior to the creation of the NHTSA, all vehicles being imported to the United States had to meet standards that were set by the ECE. The ECE is short for the Economic Commission for Europe. They are called the ECE Regulations for vehicle design, construction, and safety performance. Once the United States government created and placed into effect the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety standards, any vehicles meeting the ECE safety standards but not the United States standards were no longer permitted to be imported into the country for sale.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is also responsible and is legally allowed to perform safety investigations of any safety problems with vehicles imported into the country as well as vehicles that are manufactured within the United States. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also works in conjunction with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety to provide American drivers with the most safety information about their vehicles and the roadways as possible. The NHTSA is working on a proposal to mandate that all vehicles by the model year 2012 have Electronic Stability Control equipped on them.
